The brief was for a more open streamlined interior, with a less dominant kitchen area, because the residents mostly eat out. They also requested no hard edges, no architraves around the doors and no handles on any cupboard or doors.
This one bed apartment was transformed from a dark and daunting space to a light and inviting living area. We undertook a complete refurbishment which extended from all specialist joinery to redecorating, sanitary works, electrics and stonework. We stuck to a monochrome palette for a simple, minimalist look, using American black walnut and solid white spray paint. We produced all furniture for the living room, kitchen, study, bedroom and dressing area and fitted out both the toilet and the ensuite bathroom.
